Joey Versus the Rug.

These days Joey's favorite toy is anything that isn't a baby toy. The remote control, a cell phone, the cord of the vacuum cleaner, a magazine...you get the picture. He is getting around doing the belly crawl and man is he fast. The second I turn around to do something he is our of there and heading towards anything but his toys. These last few days he has been obsessed with the rug on the floor by our front door and my wine rack. I will post the pictures of Joey versus a 2005 Tempranillo next time. Here he is tackling the rug.

Today is World Down Syndrome Day. But for Joey we never would have paid any attention to it. He has opened up our eyes to so many new things. Thank you Joey, and to all of our little friends with a little something extra in the chromosome department, for teaching us to appreciate different and wonderful things life sometimes offers, like Down Syndrome. You are a blessing and we love you and all of the wonderful people in the Down syndrome community we have met this last year!
